About me

I started Ting Daily Life in China from a very simple and emotional place. I always wanted to share my real life, the parts people usually don’t see, the quiet moments, the tired days, and the thoughts behind the camera. This channel is not about perfection, it’s about reality, , and it’s about showing life as it truly is.

Some of you may already know this, and some of you may not, but my journey didn’t start here. You might know me from my travel videos, where I’m smiling, exploring, and meeting new people. But this channel shows who I am, when I’m alone, in my daily life, and in the quiet moments no one usually sees. It’s my true, vulnerable space, where I share my thoughts, struggles, and real feelings.

Everything started 3 years ago, something major happened in my life. It made me slow down and rethink my direction, my goals, and what truly mattered to me. Around that time, I began seriously practicing my English, especially speaking, mostly by myself.

After the pandemic, I finally traveled outside China for the first time. Coming from a rural part of China, I visited Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. During this period, I also started my first YouTube channel, Ting Adventure using video as a way to learn, express myself, and connect with people from different cultures.

I went to the Philippines three times, using my small savings and traveling simply.  Those trips showed me how powerful human connection can be, and how much I change when I’m around others. When I travel or meet people, I smile more and feel lighter. When I return to my daily life, I become quieter again, and I realized that this contrast is just part of who I am.

Every time I returned to China, my schedule was filled with office work. After finishing work, I would start editing my videos, reflecting on the day, and thinking about my experiences. I often already had months of content waiting to be edited. Every return felt different, because I noticed how behind nice videos and good editing, there is always a real person dealing with struggles, doubts, and pressure. I wanted people to see that side too. That’s how Ting Daily Life in China was born. A place to show real daily life, real emotions, and real moments, without pretending that everything is perfect.

I’m still not sure where it will lead. My days are simple. I go to work, eat, sleep, and try to hold on to my small dreams in between. Life is quiet, and most of the time, I’m alone. I’m still not sure where this path will lead, and sometimes I feel lost.

Last year, instead of going back to my hometown, which is very far away, I decided to take a risk, and used the money I had saved and went to the Philippines again. Because of that choice, I haven’t been able to see my family for almost two years, and I miss them a lot. Yet this journey made me realize that I’m discovering something very important, a sense of myself…

I don’t know if this is the right path, and I don’t have all the answers. Sometimes I still feel very lost. But deep down in a strange way, this life, quiet, uncertain, and simple, feels right to me for now. I’m just trying to move forward, one day at a time.

I was honestly surprised by how  fast Ting Daily Life in China channel started growing. I didn’t expect it at all. I feel very grateful for every comment, every like, and every message. This last month, without exaggeration, has been one of the happiest periods of my life… Reading all your comments every day fills my heart more than you can imagine.

Sometimes my days are long. After work, I take my tripod and start filming. I won’t say it’s always easy. Some days are heavy, and some days I feel tired and close to giving up. But even one comment or one like can change everything and give me new energy. I treat this as a journey, not a destination.

Social media often makes us compare ourselves to others and forget that most of what we see is not real life. Sharing my daily life with you helps me stay grounded and human. Through this journey, I discovered how many kind people exist in this world, people I would have never met otherwise.

If my videos help you relax, feel understood, or see that things can get better, then I know I’m on the right path.

I’ve always wanted to meet people from different countries and share the real side of China. Through this website, I hope I can offer you a meaningful and comfortable experience during your time here. Whether it’s your first visit or not, I’ll do my best to help you feel welcome, understand the culture, and enjoy your journey. I’m truly excited to be your guide in China.
